Telegram Launches in-app Browser and Mini App Store Making Web3 Available to Almost a Billion Users

Messaging app Telegram has announced a new in-app browser that supports multiple tabs, making Web3 available to almost a billion users, a Mini App Store, a new kind of mini apps, the ability to gift Stars to friends — and much more.

Telegram Browser

Telegram Browser

Pages you open with the in-app browser can now be collapsed and reopened from the bottom bar, allowing you to freely move between your messages and websites, instant view articles, and mini apps.

Telegram's browser supports decentralized websites hosted on TON — in all mobile and native desktop apps. This makes Web3 immediately available to our almost one billion monthly users.

Now, when you receive a notification while reading an article, viewing a web page, or playing a game, you can check your messages — and go back without losing your progress. You can also add bookmarks to return to a page later.

Developers can learn more about decentralized TON Sites by visiting ton.org — or opening getting-started.ton in the latest version of Telegram.

Mini App Store

More than 500 million out of Telegram's 950 million users interact with mini apps every month.

Mini App Store

We've added a new 'Apps' tab in Search which shows a list of apps you use and a list of popular mini apps. Now you can quickly access all your games and services — or find something new.

Developers can now upload video demos and screenshots for their mini app previews to let users know what to expect.

Mini apps that utilize Telegram Stars now have a chance to be shown in the 'Popular Apps' section. Developers can learn more about mini apps on this page.

Sharing from Mini Apps to Stories

Mini apps can now generate custom story content — like AI-generated videos, achievements, or snapshots of leaderboards — for users to share as a Telegram Story right from the mini app. This enables new kinds of apps — and helps existing ones spread among their users' contacts.

Developers can go here for more details about adding this feature to their mini apps.

Gifting Stars to Friends

Telegram Stars let you buy digtal goods in mini apps or access paid content in channels. With this update, you can buy stars as a gift for your contacts.

To gift stars, go to Settings > My Stars (on iOS, you will currently see this menu only if you have previously purchased stars for yourself).

Users celebrating their birthday will appear at the top of the list in a special section. Gifted stars will show up in the chat as a beautiful animated gift box.
Flash when Recording Video Messages

Video messages now let you use the front flash to brighten your screen with extra light when recording in the dark.

Tap the microphone icon in the message bar to switch to video recording. Then press and hold the camera icon to record your video message. Swipe up to keep recording and tap the flash icon in the bottom left corner.
Weather Widget in Stories

Users can now share the weather in their stories by adding an animated widget to everything from sunny selfies to ski slopes.
Story Covers

When posting a video story to your profile, you can choose which frame will be used as the cover photo.

Telegram to Launch Its Own Mini App Store and In-App Browser

Telegram to Launch Its Own Mini App Store and In-App Browser

Telegram, the popular messaging app, is making some exciting moves. Founder Pavel Durov recently announced that Telegram will launch an in-app browser and a mini app store by the end of July 2024.

Recently, Telegram announced that its active user base has surged to 950 million, and they aim to cross the 1 billion mark this year. The growth in users comes amid an explosion in blockchain-based games, such as NotCoin, that users tap to play on Telegram.

The upcoming app store within Telegram will allow users to discover and access mini apps directly from the platform. The mini app store will host lightweight applications within Telegram. These mini apps can offer various functionalities, including games, tools, and services.

The app store will also have web3 support, aligning with Telegram's commitment to blockchain and cryptocurrency. This move comes after the company's initial coin offering (ICO) in 2018 faced challenges. Now, Telegram is actively promoting web3 technology on its platform.

The in-app browser will allow users to view web content directly within Telegram, streamlining their experience. No need to switch between apps.

According to Pavel Durov, CEO and Founder of Telegram, "To keep the fire going, this month, we will introduce a mini app store and an in-app browser with support for Web3-Pages. "

Telegram acknowledges the issue of scams and is taking steps to address it. The messaging app plans to display the month of registration and principal country for public accounts, similar to Instagram. Additionally, organizations can use mini apps to issue labels for channels, creating a decentralized marketplace for third-party verification.

Back in 2022, Durov had said that Telegram aims to develop decentralized tools, including non-custodial wallets and decentralized exchanges, to securely facilitate cryptocurrency transactions for millions,

Telegram is continuously evolving. In early of this month Telegram launched series of new features and updates, including "Minimized Mini Apps" feature wherein users can minimize mini apps for smoother multitasking. This feature enhances the overall user experience by allowing seamless transitions between different tasks within the app. "Telegram Stars" enables users to purchase digital goods and reward creators through paid posts. It's a way to support content creators and engage with their work.

Hashtag and Location Search in Stories also launched recently. Content discovery gets a boost with hashtag and location search functionality in Telegram Stories. Users can explore relevant content more easily. A new "customizable link widget" improves link visibility within stories. This feature allows creators to share links effectively with their audience.

Telegram introduces Power Saving Mode along with other interventions in its latest feature update

Telegram introduces Power Saving Mode along with other interventions in its latest feature update

Telegram Messenger has launched new features in its latest update for iOS and Android such as Power Saving Mode which will work automatically once the battery charge percentage reaches a certain level. In addition to this, the app has added a Granular Speed track to control further the playback speed of media files and Auto-Send Invite links for groups with restricted users.

Power Saving Mode

Telegram's animations and lightweight effects are optimized to make any phone feel powerful, but can now be disabled to extend battery life and improve performance on older devices. Power Saving Mode can be set to automatically turn on when any user’s device battery reaches a certain percentage. With individual toggles that let the users disable specific effects.

iOS users can also use power-saving settings to limit background updates. However, Telegram doesn’t recommend doing this, because users might see the app updating more frequently. For Android users, Telegram has manually tested more than 200 device types to see how well Telegram performs and created optimized default settings to ensure all users get the best experience.

Users can toggle Power Saving mode or tweak individual settings for autoplay, animations, and effects in Settings > Power Saving.

Granular Play Speed

Telegram enabled users to change the playback speed for videos, podcasts, voice and video messages for years now. Now users have even more flexibility by holding the 2x button to choose any speed they want between 0.2x–2.5x. To change the playback speed of videos, tap the menu button, then tap 'Playback Speed' and move the slider.

Auto-send Invite Links

Telegram users can control who is allowed to add them to groups. If any user is inviting someone who restricts this, they can now quickly send them an invite link as a message. Invite links now show previews in chats so that users are able to see where they lead at a glance.

To control who can add any specific user to any group directly, they need to go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Groups & Channels.

Read Time in Small Groups

To make collaboration in small teams easier, read receipts in groups under 100 members now show the exact time when any user’s messages were read by each person in the group.

Dynamic Order for Sticker Packs

As of the previous update, recently used sticker packs move to the top of the panel for easy access. If any user wants packs to stay where they are, they can tap the icon in the sticker panel and switch off Dynamic Pack Order.

Translated Bot Descriptions

Bot developers can now fully localize their bots by translating bot descriptions and the 'What can this bot do?' sections into multiple languages.

Improved folder support on iOS

iOS users can mark all chats in a folder as read with one tap. When forwarding messages, folders can be used to quickly find the right chat. This improvement is also coming to the Android app in one of the next updates.

New Animated Emoji(s)

This update includes ten new packs of custom emoji for Telegram premium users.

Interactive emoji(s) along with Chat Reactions

Telegram animators added new interactive versions of . Users can send any of them in 1-on-1 chats, then tap to unleash a full-screen effect for the sender and receiver. Everyone can also use these emoji(s) as reactions.

The Great Bug Hunt

Under this latest update, Telegram successfully rectified more than 400 known bugs from the platform. While Telegram is working on the next update, the app welcomes everyone to use bugs.telegram.org to report issues to our team and leave suggestions via suggestions.telegram.org

Telegram Launches A Major Update Including Features Like Topics for Groups, Blockchain-based Collectible Usernames and More

The latest update comes with other astonishing features for premium subscribers such as Video Transcription and a bunch of new expressive emoji packs

Telegram Messenger in its latest update has rolled-out Topics in Groups, Collectible Usernames, new interfaces for operating systems and more to enhance the user chat experience. Moreover, the platform brings some unique features for its premium users such as Voice-to-text for Video messages. Earlier, the premium users were only able to transcribe voice messages. A bunch of 12 new emoji packs have also been added to Telegram Premium. The app has also released several interface-driven updates for Android, iOS and desktop apps.

In the latest blog by Telegram’s CEO & Founder, Pavel Durov wrote, “I feel particularly excited about today’s Telegram update. It adds topics to large groups, transforming these linear chats into slick mobile-friendly versions of good old Internet Forums.

Ironically, the very first popular internet service I built around 20 years ago was also an Internet Forum – a message board for students of my university, which eventually grew into the biggest student portal in the region.

16 years ago I again incorporated forums into the Communities section of VK, a social network I founded. Since VK was the most popular communication platform in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other countries, tens of millions of people used the forum feature there.

I feel nostalgic about those times: I had yet to learn the skill of hiring engineers and designers back then, so I programmed and designed everything on my own, working 20 hours per day.

Today I am fortunate to have the best coding team in the world to recreate the forum experience for hundreds of millions across all platforms in a more modern, fast and accessible form. Telegram will now support organized conversations where thousands of people can concurrently discuss different subjects in the same group.

Topics today come packed with lots of features including the ability to close and pin topics, flexible notification options and lots of fun animated emoji to be used as topic icons. But this is just the start. Taking advantage of the two-week delay caused by Apple’s review, we have begun to expand these new threaded groups into something even more powerful.”

Topics in Groups

Telegram groups can support huge communities with hundreds of thousands of users. To keep these chats easy to read, groups with over 200 members can now enable topics and create separate spaces for any subject. Topics function as individual chats within the group – supporting their own shared media and notification settings. Members are free to chat on any topic of their interest, using all their favourite features like polls, pinned messages and bots.

This feature is intended specifically for large groups, adding new ways to customize their chats and promote discussion. Later this year, Telegram expect to introduce a different set of tools, tailored to small groups. If users want to give topics a test drive, try them out in this public group.

Group admins can enable topics in their Group Settings, and can control who is allowed to create and manage topics in Permissions. Telegram plans to release further updates that will bring more powerful tools for both admins and users of this feature.

Collectible Usernames

Telegram users can make it easy for others to contact them or find their public groups and channels via usernames. In addition to one basic username, users can now assign multiple collectible usernames to each of their accounts and public chats. The ownership of collectible usernames is secured by TON, a fast and scalable blockchain network. They can be bought and sold through a new platform called Fragment, enabling a simple and secure way to acquire and exchange valuable Telegram domains.

Collectible usernames work just like basic @usernames, they appear in Global Search results and have their own links that can be used outside of Telegram: username.t.me and t.me/username.

Unlike basic usernames, Collectible usernames can be less than 5 characters long – making it possible to get unique names like @news or @game. Once acquired, a user has full control over their collectible username, able to trade it or retain it for later use. Users can deactivate any of their collectible usernames by making them invisible in search results without losing the name.

Voice-to-Text for Video Messages

Since the launch of Telegram Premium, subscribers have been able to convert any voice message to text – for times when it's more convenient to read than listen along. This update adds the same functionality to video messages, allowing Premium users to get an instant text transcript.

New Emoji Packs

While thousands of users experiment with uploading custom emoji sets, Telegram artists have completed 12 new emoji packs. Premium users can use these emoji in any messages and captions – or set them as statuses for Halloween.

Redesigned Night Mode for iOS

Dark themes have been updated for users on iOS, making colours more balanced with better blurring effects as they scroll in chats and the chat list.

Resizing Text on Android

Changing the text size in Chat Settings on Android now increases the size of all chat text – including link previews, reply headers and more.

New Interactive Emoji and Reactions

For those times when our users are studying, sleeping or being suspicious, this update brings 4 new interactive emoji that play full-screen effects in 1-on-1 chats and can also be used as reactions. Additionally, all users can celebrate the spooky season with 3 more reactions in any chat.

The latest update comes with a new login flow, improved username links and other additional features

Telegram Messenger in its latest update has released Infinite Reactions, Emoji Statuses, and much more to enhance the user chat experience. With the latest update, Telegram aims to provide users with ways to engage these new emoticons while chatting where they can express their feelings better.

Infinite Reactions

Infinite Reactions
All users now have access to dozens of reactions – including those that were previously only available with Telegram Premium. Telegram has accommodated all the new emojis and expanded the reaction panel. The reactions which users prefer using frequently will now be shown at the top. Additionally, users with a premium subscription, can now choose reactions from an infinite selection of custom emojis and use 3 reactions per message. The changes are currently available in groups and 1-on-1 chats. Also, group admins can control whether custom reactions may be used in their groups or not.

Emoji Statuses With this latest update, premium users can add an animated emoji status, displayed next to their name (in place of the Premium Badge of a user in the chat list), and let people know how they are feeling or doing currently. Users can set 7 standard statuses that change the colour to match different Telegram themes or choose from an infinite number of custom emojis.

Improved Login Flow

Users who log in and out frequently can now receive login codes through their email address or using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. Signing up or logging in to Telegram on iOS is now even more streamlined and easy along with the new interfaces and fun animations with which Android users are already familiar.

New Username Links

To date, all @usernames on Telegram have their own t.me/username links that make it easy for users to share their public profile, group or channel anywhere on the internet. The latest update allows users to have a new unique link format username – username.t.me – to emphasize their name.

Prioritize Downloads on Android

Now Android users can enjoy additional download settings – users can now press and hold any items in the list to reorder them and change their priority. Further, media and files that are actively downloading can be managed in the 'Downloads' tab of Search or by tapping the Downloads Android icon that appears in the user’s chat list.

Android Goodies

In this new update, Android users can now enjoy new smooth animations added for opening, closing, and changing media on Android. Users on Android 13 or newer can choose a thematic Telegram icon that will automatically match the phone's dark mode settings and accent color.

Telegram Improves User Experience With New Video Stickers, Animated Reactions and More

Telegram Messenger has launched multiple new features in its latest update which includes easy-to-make video stickers, better reactions with compact animations and extra emoji, a button to review unseen reactions and improved navigation between chats. The updates are targeted towards improving the user experience and giving them more options to express themselves on the platform.

Video Sticker

With an unmatched quality and efficiency, the stickers introduced by Telegram support for converting stickers from regular videos. Since creating such stickers requires experience and specialized software, the support from Telegram gives the flexibility to the consumers for creating their own pack or add new sets made by others. Further developers can use the Sticker Import API to build powerful apps for creating and importing stickers to Telegram.

Better Reaction and Interactive Emoji

Telegram has made reactions better by giving them the shape of compact animations. The interactive emojis are now synchronized, and the recipients will see the animations in real time. The update has also added 5 new reactions can also be accessed via full screen effect.

The consumers can now hold the 'Back' button to return to a specific chat. Further, consumers can easily navigate through chats through opening chats from forwarded messages, links, usernames, profiles, etc.

Bug Busting and More

The new update also brings improved call quality, added support for translation to Instant View pages (and bios on iOS), and the option to send silent messages from the sharing menu. The iOS version also has new animations which can be explored by tapping icons in the tab bar.

Telegram Launches Interactive Emoji and New Chat Themes as Key Features in Its Latest Update

This is the second major update for Telegram app within a span of one month to enhance user experience with high utility driven features

  • Telegram introduces Interactive emoji for enhanced user chat experience
  • Multiple new themes for individual chat backgrounds have also been introduced
  • Users can now see detailed Read receipt in Telegram Groups
  • Telegram is offering to record the audio and video sessions from live streaming feature

National, 21 September, 2021: Telegram Messenger launched a slew of new features in its latest monthly update to make user chat experience more intriguing than ever before. Telegram has added the option to place different Chat themes with different people, and a completely new way to experience the emoji sharing on one-on-one individual chats called Interactive Emoji. The app has introduced Read receipt feature for Telegram Private Groups, along with an option to record live stream video chats and audio session that can be shared later with others, as well.

Chat Themes

Telegram offers many features to organize chats and customize their appearance such as Chat Folders, Animated Backgrounds, etc. In this update, coordination and decoration come together with new themes for individual chats.

The app is now offerings 8 new themes that users can apply to specific private chats (one-to-one chats). Each of the new themes showcases colourful gradient message bubbles, beautifully animated backgrounds and unique background patterns.

Interactive Emoji

Telegram introduced a new way of sharing emotion in real time. Users need to simply send a single emoji to any private chats, and then tap on the animated emoji to unleash a full-screen effect. If both the parties involved in the one-on-one chat have the chat window open, the animations and vibrations play simultaneously on the devices for both of them. This makes the overall chat experience much more connected, expressive and close to the people.

Read Receipts in Small Groups

Both chat themes and interactive emoji currently only work in private chats. But this update also includes a big change for Telegram Groups.

Group messages are marked as read (✓✓) as soon as one other member sees them. In small groups, users can now also select a message you sent to see which group members have read it.

In order to protect users' privacy, read receipts in groups are only stored for 7 days after the message was sent.

Record Live Streams and Video Chats

Telegram hosts millions of communities that can create live events for unlimited viewers. Admins are now allowed to record Live Streams and Video Chats to publish them for those who missed the live version.

Admins can start a recording right from the Live Stream or Video Chat menu – with options to record Video and Audio or Only Audio. To record video, they need to choose an orientation for the final video file, Portrait or Landscape. Once the recording gets finished, or end the broadcast, the file is instantly uploaded to the Saved Messages window. Telegram offers free and unlimited encrypted cloud storage to its users where they store the same for long, re-download it anytime from any device as per their requirement. While recording, a red dot appears next to the title of the broadcast.

On this occasion, CEO and Founder Pavel Durov writes on his Telegram Channel Blog, “Another major Telegram update is out now after having been finally approved by Apple. It is packed with unique features that expand the boundaries of what a messaging app can do.

This new version of Telegram also contains an important upgrade that will allow our apps to work without interruption. Until now, Telegram used 32-bit values for the identifiers of users and channels. Due to its fast growth, Telegram had been quickly approaching the maximum number of 32-bit IDs, which is about 2.1 billion.

That's why for the last 12 months we've been rebuilding nearly all of our apps, storage architecture and scripts to migrate to the 64-bit range (so we can expand to other galaxies without any issues). The latest update is critical to let new users sign up for Telegram and existing users keep creating channels and groups”

According the latest data released by Sensor Tower, the countries with the largest number of Telegram installs were India at 24 percent, followed by Indonesia at 10 percent.

Telegram has attained the top position in the overall downloads (non-game) on Google Play Store moving from 9th position in the previous month, December 2020. The social messenger has also entered the list of top 10 most downloaded (non-game) apps on App Store, directly gaining the 4th position.

Telegram, a cloud-based mobile and desktop messaging app with a focus on security and speed was launched in 2013. A device agnostic platform, it provides its users the capability of sharing unlimited files up to 2 GB each setting itself apart from various other platforms. The open API and AI based BOT integration provides the messenger app a competitive edge over other platforms. Users can create groups for up to 200,000 people or channels for broadcasting to unlimited audiences.

25 Mn New Users Join Telegram in the Past 72 Hrs Globally; 38% New Users from Asia

In the first week of January, Telegram surpassed 500 million monthly active users. It has continued to grow with 25 million new users joining Telegram in the last 72 hours alone. These new users are from across the globe – 38% from Asia, 27% from Europe, 21% from Latin America and 8% from MENA.

In a recent blog post Telegram’s CEO and Founder Pavel Durov says, “This is a significant increase compared to last year, when 1.5M new users signed up every day. We've had surges of downloads before, throughout our 7-year history of protecting user privacy. But this time is different.

People no longer want to exchange their privacy for free services. They no longer want to be held hostage by tech monopolies that seem to think they can get away with anything as long as their apps have a critical mass of users.

With half a billion active users and accelerating growth, Telegram has become the largest refuge for those seeking a communication platform committed to privacy and security. We take this responsibility very seriously. We won’t let you down.

Those of you who have used Telegram for the last several years know we’ve been consistent both when it comes to defending private data and to improving our apps. For those of you who just joined and are wondering what Telegram stands for, I’d like to quote

He further added, “You – our users – have been and will always be our only priority. Unlike other popular apps, Telegram doesn’t have shareholders or advertisers to report to. We don’t do deals with marketers, data miners or government agencies. Since the day we launched in August 2013 we haven’t disclosed a single byte of our users' private data to third parties. We operate this way because we don’t regard Telegram as an organization or an app. For us, Telegram is an idea; it is the idea that everyone on this planet has a right to be free.”

Telegram messenger is focused on its mission to empower common people by providing them the best quality in security, privacy and seamless connectivity while they are communicating. With its current growth rate, Telegram is on track to reach billions of users in the near future.

Telegram Founder Pavel Durov's Latest Blog User's Data Privacy

A latest blog has been posted by Pavel Durov, Founder and CEO of Telegram on the ongoing discussions about user data privacy and how it’s been managed by global communications apps. Below are details of same (in first person voice) -

I hear Facebook has an entire department devoted to figuring out why Telegram is so popular. Imagine dozens of employees working on just that full-time.

I am happy to save Facebook tens of millions of dollars and give away our secret for free: respect your users.

Millions of people are outraged by the latest change in WhatsApp Terms, which now say users must feed all their private data to Facebook’s ad engine. It’s no surprise that the flight of users from WhatsApp to Telegram, already ongoing for a few years, has accelerated.

At about 500 million users and growing, Telegram has become a major problem for the Facebook corporation. Unable to compete with Telegram in quality and privacy, Facebook’s WhatsApp seems to have switched to covert marketing: Wikipedia editors have recently exposed multiple paid bots adding biased information into the WhatsApp Wikipedia article [1].

We have also detected bots which spread inaccurate information about Telegram on social media. Here are the 3 myths they are pushing:

Myth 1. “Telegram’s code is not open-source”. In reality, all Telegram client apps have been open source since 2013 [2]. Our encryption and API are fully documented and have been reviewed by security experts thousands of times. Moreover, Telegram is the only messaging app in the world that has verifiable builds both for iOS and Android [3]. As for WhatsApp, they intentionally obfuscate their code, making it impossible to verify their encryption and privacy.

Myth 2. “Telegram is Russian”. In fact, Telegram has no servers or offices in Russia and was blocked there from 2018 to 2020 [4]. Telegram is still blocked in some authoritarian countries such as Iran, while WhatsApp and other “supposedly secure” apps have never had any issue in these places.

Myth 3. “Telegram is not encrypted”. Every chat on Telegram has been encrypted since launch. We have Secret Chats that are end-to-end and Cloud Chats that also offer real-time secure and distributed cloud storage [5]. WhatsApp, on the other hand, had zero encryption for a few years, and then adopted an encryption protocol funded by the US Government [6]. Even if we assume that the WhatsApp encryption is solid, it’s invalidated via multiple backdoors and reliance on backups [7].

In 2019 alone, Facebook spent almost 10 billion dollars on marketing [8] (I guess this includes paid bots on Wikipedia and other sites).

Unlike Facebook, Telegram doesn't spend any money, let alone billions of dollars, on marketing. We believe that people are smart enough to choose what is best for them. And, judging by the half a billion people using Telegram, this belief is justified.

Telegram launches major update with bundled new features

  • The app introduces Search Filter for users to find specific content shared in the past
  • Telegram introduces Channel Comments feature on their platform

Telegram, the cloud-based multi-platform messenger app, launches bundled new features for their users in its latest update. Features like Search Filters, Channel Comments, Anonymous Group admins, and a few more will now be available to the users. Focused on enabling the group and channel admins to make their forums interactive and safer than before, these features helps in easily managing shared content.

The feature Search Filter introduced on the platform for users to search specific messages shared from the past has been further categorized into six different tabs. These include Chats, Media, Links, Files, Music and Voice Messages in order to make a clear segregation while searching any form of content. Users can now search for any specific message in regards to a particular time period, a person, a Group, a Channel, or a Bot and the app will add a filter by source of the message. For example, "John" + "15th August" to find a specific media link shared by John on that specific day.

In the current update, Telegram also launches a new feature called Channel Comments by adding a comment button to posts on channels with discussion groups making it more interactive. Telegram Channels being a one-way communication platform, with this feature, enables users to add comments in the form of voice messages, stickers, GIFs etc. to any particular message shared. These comments can be further limited by the admins to keep the civil code of conduct intact amongst participants.

This feature can only be applicable to the Channels where a separate Discussion Group is linked within the Channel. Users are re-directed to a separate group where they can see and reply to the comments made by their fellow members, and moreover it becomes easier for the admins to manage.

For example, users can share their opinions and suggestions to a particular announcement made on an official Channel of any XYZ organisation.

Telegram has also included a feature called Anonymous Group Admins. This feature could turn any admin's identity anonymous in a Group and all the messages sent by the admins on the Group will be reflected in the name of the Group itself. This feature is already applicable to Telegram Channels, and now available to the Groups as well.

A few animated pop-ups have been added to the kitty for Android users where they can see new animation while deleting messages, saving media, or changing notifications. Hiding the keyboard, or switching between day and night themes could be easily done from the left menu. Telegram adds more animated emojis on their platform for users to share among their contacts.

Telegram Messenger Launches In-App Video Editor on its Platform

App adds Two-step verification and an in-built easy cache management feature to its portfolio

  • Telegram launches in-app video editor along with advanced video quality enhancement options

Animated stickers can now be added to the photos and videos while editing which can later turn into GIFs, as well. The app has also added new attractive speaking GIFs for user chat experience enhancement.

Moreover from a data security perspective it has introduced Two-step verification for their users. Simply anyone can click on the Privacy and Security option to enable this Two-step verification security lock. Users need to set-up a new password by entering it twice followed a password hint. This feature would be responsible to protect the app data and securing accounts from cloning in future.

Now onward if this Two-step authentication password is enabled on a given account, anyone trying to log-in from a new device that person needs to know the password, along with the OTP.

The Telegram messenger has also provided a new Cache memory management tool directly to clean-up the storage as per the user requirement.
