NetApp, NASSCOM Foundation Join Forces to Bridge AI Talent Gap with New Skilling Program
George Kurian, CEO, NetApp and Rostow Ravanan, Chairperson, Nasscom Foundation
Recognizing India’s pivotal role in the global AI economy, NetApp®, the Intelligent Data Infrastructure company, today announced a multi-year partnership with the Nasscom Foundation to launch a skilling program in AI in Data Science. Furthering its commitment to promoting Data Science and AI Education, the initiative was unveiled in Bengaluru in the presence of George Kurian, CEO, NetApp and Rostow Ravanan, Chairperson, Nasscom Foundation.

The program is designed to prepare the next generation of technology talent from underserved communities by equipping them with in-demand skills in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. In its first phase, engineering graduates from resource-constrained communities across the states of Karnataka and Delhi will be trained through a comprehensive curriculum that blends technical expertise with workplace readiness and industry exposure.

Our partnership with Nasscom Foundation reflects our shared vision of building a future-ready workforce. We are meeting the evolving needs of the digital economy by co-creating industry-relevant curricula. This helps not only in nurturing AI talent at scale but also strengthening Nasscom Foundation’s skilling ecosystem, said Vasanthi Ramesh, Vice President of Engineering and Site Leader, NetApp India.

Participants will undertake 120 hours of technical training in Python, data analytics, machine learning, and deep learning, complemented by NetApp-curated sessions on Kubernetes, persistent storage, and AI infrastructure. Beyond technical skills, the initiative will also deliver 60 hours of soft skills development, including communication, teamwork, and career guidance, to enable graduates to be job-ready. Industry-recognized certifications and job placement support will further enhance employability, with a target of placing nearly 70 percent of the cohort in technology roles.

The growing demand for AI and Data Science professionals is reshaping the future of work,” said Mr. Rostow Ravanan, Chairperson, Nasscom Foundation. “To meet this transformation head-on, it is vital to bridge the opportunity gap by ensuring equitable access to continuous, industry-aligned skilling. Our collaboration with NetApp reflects this vision where we are empowering youth, especially women from underserved communities, with the digital, AI, and data capabilities needed to thrive in an inclusive and future-ready economy.”

The skilling program launched by NetApp and Nasscom Foundation furthers India’s ambition to be a global hub for AI talent by addressing a critical gap: the need for skilled, ethical, and job-ready professionals. Through rigorous technical training combined with real-world exposure, the initiative will create pathways into meaningful technology careers and broaden inclusion in the digital economy.

Tata Power’s EcoCrew Engages 3 Lakh Students, Fuels India’s Largest Energy Literacy Movement

Tata Power’s EcoCrew Engages 3 Lakh Students, Fuels India’s Largest Energy Literacy Movement

In yet another pioneering initiative to bring alive its commitment to India’s energy transition and to fast track the adoption of solar energy, Tata Power has created new benchmarks with its EcoCrew program - India’s largest Energy Literacy Movement.

Reaching almost 3 Lakh students in 1000+ schools across Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the program sensitised students to the impact of global warming and climate change and educated them on adoption of solar energy for their homes as an easy and affordable alternative solution.

The program has not only created legions of EcoCrew who are BFFs of Nature and true ambassadors of sustainability in their communities, but also helped the cause of making Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand the 3rd largest adopters of rooftop solar under the PMSGY with 3.14 lakh installations to date amounting to 1.1 GW.

The EcoCrew movement has travelled 24 cities over the last 12 months, cumulating more than 50,000 minutes of interactive on-ground learning and close to 1,50,000 minutes of online engagement. Students learnt about clean energy alternatives, solar energy and energy conservation. They pledged to become change makers in their homes, communities and neighbourhoods.

Students also participated in energy audits, creative competitions, and a 21-day gamified online sustainability challenge, encouraging measurable planet-friendly actions both at school and at home. Tata Power’s sustainability buddy Globey brought alive the need for each of us taking small actions every day to make a big change for planet Earth.

The top schools and students who actively championed and engaged with the initiative are all set to be felicitated and celebrated at 5 mega finale events over the next 2 weeks in Lucknow, Varanasi, Agra, Gorakhpur and Meerut.

Today, Uttar Pradesh stands among India’s top 3 states in rooftop solar adoption, with 2.6 lakh installations and a total installed capacity of 901.42 MW. This rapid progress has been enabled by the dual subsidy structure, combining Central and State incentives — with up to ₹78,000 from the Central Government and ₹30,000 from UPNEDA — making solar adoption more accessible and affordable for households. In alignment with the Government’s clean energy vision and to further accelerate rooftop solar adoption, Tata Power has also been promoting its ‘GharGharSolar’ initiative — first launched in Varanasi last year — to drive large-scale awareness and installation of residential rooftop solar systems under PMSGY.

The journey of EcoCrew in Uttar Pradesh marks the beginning of a larger national mission. Tata Power plans to expand the initiative across multiple states, reaching millions of students in the coming years to build a foundation of energy literacy, climate responsibility, and accelerate solar readiness.

By nurturing a generation of informed and responsible young citizens, Tata Power is strengthening India’s roadmap to energy independence, in line with the national vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and the clean energy goals of the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.

Why ACCA Course in Mumbai Is the Smartest Career Move for Young Graduates in Finance

Why ACCA Course in Mumbai Is the Smartest Career Move for Young Graduates in Finance

What to do next is always a question asked by our acquaintances at every stage of life, be it studies, a job, a company, salary or anything else.

Today, let us talk about what’s next after graduation. There is always that constant pressure coming from teachers as well as parents to make the right choice. Some graduates rush into jobs, while others prepare for competitive exams, and still others get stuck comparing endless professional courses.

We understand that this confusion is natural, and let me tell you, the finance industry offers many paths. But not all of them promise global recognition, flexibility, and long-term career growth. And this is where the ACCA course in Mumbai steps in as one of the smartest career moves for young graduates.

It not only answers the "what to do next” question with clarity but also opens doors to opportunities across the world. You should read further as we explore why ACCA is the smartest career move for young graduates in finance.

Smart Qualification for Young Finance Professionals

ACCA is a smart qualification, especially for young finance graduates, and we are saying so because of the various reasons listed below:
  • Firstly, a 10th-grade pass student is eligible for it. So, you get a head start on your career.
  • Graduates doing it simultaneously or afterwards can avail of exemptions (in some cases) and fast-track their ACCA journey.
  • It is so flexible that you can easily manage it along with your personal commitments.
  • Even if you are a working professional, you can do ACCA and showcase your experience if it is in a relevant field to become an ACCA member.
  • As soon as you enroll in a trusted ACCA institute like edZeb, you become a part of the global community.
  • Employers also value ACCA professionals for their well-rounded training in strategy, management, and business analysis.
  • Globalisation has led to the ever-increasing demand for finance experts across banking, consulting, audit, and corporate finance.
  • The best ACCA coaching in Mumbai ensures young professionals are not only employable but also future-ready.
So, choosing the right qualification, like ACCA, can change the entire course of your career. It stands out because it combines global recognition, flexibility, and strong career prospects. ACCA is accepted in 180+ countries, making it ideal for those who dream of working abroad. The structure of the ACCA course is flexible. It allows students to learn at their own pace and even pursue it alongside jobs or higher studies.

The Global Demand for Skilled Finance Professionals

The finance industry is evolving fast, and so is the demand for professionals. It is mainly for their industry-relevant expertise in both technical and practical business skills at the table.

The qualification covers everything from financial reporting and taxation to audit, strategy, and business management, so employers actively seek out ACCA graduates. Here are some facts that prove the demand is increasing globally.
  • Firstly, the global market value of ACCA courses was around USD 1.1 billion in 2023. It is expected to double to USD 2.3 billion by 2031. The fact is that its market is growing at a CAGR of 9.6%.
  • Secondly, ACCA has become the fourth-largest professional accounting body in the world. Also, the ACCA community has nearly 258,000 members and 530,000 students across more than 180 countries.
  • Moreover, a Global Talent Trends Survey was conducted by the ACCA organisation in 2025. It showed that 52% of more than 10,000 finance professionals from 175 countries aim to become entrepreneurs. It is definitely a strong sign of the qualification’s versatility and appeal.
  • It has been reported that accounting vacancies are growing, but employers report difficulties in hiring due to a lack of skilled professionals. So, ACCA bridges this gap between theory and practical application, so they are highly in demand.
Therefore, the growing shortage of globally qualified accountants is causing an increased demand for ACCA professionals.

Why Wait?

At the end of the day, every graduate wants clarity about their future. While the options may seem endless, very few qualifications truly prepare you for a global career in finance. ACCA is one of them. It gives young professionals recognition across borders, flexibility to balance life and learning, and the skills that today’s employers are actively searching for. So what are you waiting for? You must join the best institute for ACCA classes in Mumbai and gain an edge over your peers.

If you are a finance graduate wondering “what’s next?”, ACCA is the smartest career move for young graduates like you in the finance industry. It does not just prepare you for a job, but it prepares you for a career that can take you anywhere in the world.

Half of India’s Workforce Left Unskilled in the Past Year: upGrad Report

Half of India’s Workforce Left Unskilled in the Past Year: upGrad Report

upGrad Enterprise – the corporate skilling division of Asia’s leading integrated lifelong learning company, upGrad has launched a groundbreaking industry report titled ‘Skilling Smarter: A Strategic Guide to Training Across Generations’. Based on insights from 12,300+ professionals across sectors, the report exposes the growing disconnect between employee needs and existing corporate training frameworks — driven by the evolving expectations of a multigenerational workforce.

Despite widespread recognition of upskilling as a business imperative, the report reveals that 50% of India’s workforce remained untrained in FY24-25, while 75% of employees engaged in learning only when mandated. Nearly 1 in 2 Indian workplaces still lack formal skilling strategies, resulting in inconsistent access and widening capability gaps. The findings highlight a lack of personalisation, access, and relevance in training models across generational cohorts, be it the pragmatic Gen X, the independent Gen Y, or the digital-first Gen Z.

Skilling Smarter: A Strategic Guide to Training Across Generations
Key findings include:
  • 1 in 4 workplaces lack formal strategies: 50% of professionals receive no training in FY24–25; only 16% engaged in quarterly learning
  • Mandates outweigh motivation: 75% train only when required; top barriers include irrelevance (51%), limited access (43%), and lack of time (42%)
  • Mismatch in priorities: Organisations invest in technical and industry-focused skilling, while employees seek leadership, soft skills, and strategic thinking
  • One workforce, many learners: Gen X values expert-led formats, Gen Y prefers structured flexibility, and Gen Z wants immersive, on-demand learning — yet 63% of HR leaders do not tailor programs by generation
  • Skilling design vs learner preference: While 80% of GenZ train under managers, nearly 50% prefer self-paced or third-party learning formats
  • Low investment, low ROI: 60% of HR Leaders allocate under 5% of HR budgets to skilling; 61.5% of CHROs report no measurable impact
  • Format fatigue: 50% of GenZ equate skilling with preset digital modules, but 45% want interactive, real-world learning
There’s a serious skilling gap emerging; we see companies budgeting annually but there’s very little to no skilling provided to employees. Let’s not forget that the pace of technology is outstripping organisational readiness, and we are not ready for the ripples it's going to create very soon. With this report, we want to go out with a strong message that in a multigenerational workplace, skilling — AI-focused and embedded with soft skills — must adapt to the learner’s needs, and not the other way around,” said Srikanth Iyengar, CEO, upGrad Enterprise. “Without personalized, real-time, and career-aligned learning, training becomes a checkbox activity - ineffective at best, costly at worst. This is where, our decade-long experience has been enabling us to design industry-relevant pedagogy and content - rooted in deep learner intelligence. We leverage workforce data effectively to craft adaptive learning journeys that align individual career aspirations with organisational goals, and ensure skills are not just acquired, but applied meaningfully for business impact.”

Our goal with this report was to spark action, not just conversation, by grounding our insights in unassailable data and living our belief that 'data or it didn't happen.' What sets 'Skilling Smarter' apart is its dissection of the multifaceted challenges of a multigenerational workforce, built upon insights from over 12,300 professionals. This was a deliberate effort to ensure diverse representation and bring serious numbers to bear on serious issues. This rigorous foundation allows us to provide concrete, actionable frameworks for India Inc. As a leader in lifelong learning, upGrad understands the imperative of tailoring education to the learner. This report is our contribution to helping CHROs, L&D heads, and CXOs unlock the full potential of their talent investments by fostering a culture of relevant, outcome-linked, and truly impactful learning” added Shirin Rai Gupta, Director – Marketing, upGrad Enterprise.
The report serves as a strategic guide for CHROs, L&D heads, and CXOs, offering practical frameworks to future-proof their talent investments. It advocates for deeper personalisation, cross-generational thinking, and outcome-linked learning.
